Non-Woven Geotextile Membrane – used to separate the upper surface (i.e. sand, fibre etc) from the sub-base below. Separation of the two layers is critical to prevent stones from rising to the surface and also to prevent the upper surface from disappearing into the sub-base below.

Geotextile Membranes allow water to filter through freely.

The membrane should be laid carefully and it is essential that there are no gap/holes in the membrane once it is laid, we recommend using membrane jointing tape to seal any joins on the membrane.
